Today we got to play games! We played two metadata games online, ‘Zen Tag’ and ‘Guess What’. These games are loads of fun for the whole family!
Our group thought that the ‘Guess What’ game was more fun because it was played with a friend, however, there were difficulites connecting to the site. The ‘Zen Tag’ game was also fun, but would have benefited more from having a little bit of competition.
Guess What:
In this game we had 6 attempted images and all of them were successfully identified. All, bar one, required only one attempt before success.
Zen Tag:
We were given four photos to tag. Fiona provided eight new tags!! Yay Fiona! 18 tags were already known by the site.
Next, we were asked to think of any games that might support selection and appraisal. Geraldine thought that ‘scrabble’ could be one option. This is because you ‘select’ the tiles, then with what you are given, you appraise possible words and placements.
Fiona thought that ‘Cluedo’ or (Clue to you Americans) would fit for authenticity. This game requires one to use evidentiary support to figure out who killed the victim…Was it Colonel Mustuard in the library, with the candlestick? Maybe the Butler?
if you enjoyed that game, maybe this would be interesting.
